Summarific finds, explains and analyzes key ideas from non-fiction books.
This provides a new way for readers to discover books they’d like to read. Rather than just skimming a review or looking at book ratings, readers can discover key ideas before buying a book.
Once we have identified a key idea that we deem noteworthy, we present it in our own words, incorporating analysis and commentary to add depth and context. We also explore practical applications of these ideas, providing actionable steps to help readers implement them. To further enhance engagement, we create interactive quizzes and share our own independent book reviews. Summarific summaries are crafted with originality, containing ideas and insights articulated in our unique style, enriched with commentary and analysis. Each summary is an original work by Summarific.
At the top of each summary, we include a prominent button for readers to buy the book. Alongside this, we provide a short bio of the author, helping users discover new books and learn more about their authors.
Additionally, we have implemented processes that actively incentivize and encourage our users to purchase books they find interesting.
We send a congratulatory email to paid users after they complete a summary. A summary is marked as complete once the user successfully answers the quiz questions. Each congratulatory email includes a reminder and a direct link to buy the book, making it easy for users to support the author.
But that’s not all. When creating Summarific, we asked ourselves: How can we make Summarific a true win-win for both readers and authors?
Each summary includes an advanced quiz that can only be completed by reading the entire book. Unlike standard quizzes, advanced quizzes feature questions that cannot be answered using the summary alone. Once users successfully complete an advanced quiz, they earn a diamond badge as a reward. Additional diamond badges are awarded for each completed book.
Books marked as completed are displayed in the user’s account, showcasing the books they have read and reinforcing their achievements.
Summarific tracks the number of summaries and books completed by each user. To encourage a balanced approach, we recommend maintaining a book-to-summary ratio of 20%. For example, when a user completes five summaries without marking a book as read, we gently nudge them to dive into a full book instead of relying solely on summaries.
Summarific is designed as a new way to discover books and authors. At heart, we are passionate book lovers. Our vision is to help people explore ideas faster while incentivizing and rewarding them for engaging deeply with books.
